Camera angles/ shots

Today me and Ella decided to think of the different camera angles that we may consider using in our music video. The main ones we are thinking of using are: close-up, long shot, mid-shot. This is because they can all be used for different shots. For example, a close up could be of our artists lip, lip syncing to the song. The long shot can be used to capture what is happening in the back ground, the mid-shot is similar to this, however, the main focus of the mid- shot will be the main artist and not necessarily the things going on around it.

Another thing that we have considered is zooming in and out. An example of this would be having it at the beginning, and using a close up shot which slowly zooms out to establish the area and most importantly the artist. This idea has been used in the Marina and the Diamonds song "Hollywood" with this being the first shot used. Panning is another thing we have considered doing, this will not only capture the artist, but will also capture the whole of the area surrounding the artist, hopefully the audience will be able to see the area as some place they would like to go to.

  1. Girls.

The sooner you get the lyrics and the artist up on here the better. Once you've done that you'll find it much easier to dream up a world which the inhabit. It's often easy if you start with the tone of the song (how it makes you feel) and go from there.

Think also about the syncopation of the song.
