Ideas for Flashbacks

For one of our couples, the girlfriends, we have chosen an extract from Mom at Sixteen to get ideas from; in the scene, the girl is looking at a photo of her and her boyfriend and it flashbacks to when the photo was taken. In our video, we would like to use this idea for the verse which the couple is in, and have the trinket being giving in it. I think that in doing this the audience would be clear on the fact that it is a flashback, as the picture will be shown first. We are thinking of using similar camera angles and shots for the verse in our music video, and we may film it in a park or something similar to that.
